Yellow gold scalloped pendant of white and blue enamel with small diamonds set in platinum. In the pendant a large, cabochon cut star sapphire. London, circa 1890. In original box by Parkes, Vigo Street / Regent Street. James Unitt Parkes (ca 1846- 1913) richtte zijn winkel Parkes & Co. op in 1875, hij nam de winkel van Dickinsonwhich over die daar in 1777 was begonnen. Parkes & Co. handelde in hoogwaardige juwelen, modern en antiek silver, goud, verzilverde miniaturen, email en curiositeiten, in het centrum van Londen. De zaak is overgenomen door een zoon, Fraser. James Unitt Parkes (ca 1846- d.1913) founded Parkes & Co. in 1875, succeeded Dickinsonwhich was a firm reputedly founded in 1777. Parkes & Co. dealt in high class jewels, modern and ancient silver, gold, plate, miniatures, enamels and curiosities in the centre of London The business was continued by James Parkes´ son, Fraser,
