A steel and gold Louis XVI, with flower and leaf motifs.
France, Circa 1800
The combination of steel and gold is very special, this ring has the combination also with silver and gold set on steel. a technique they also used for guns. The ornament is depicting a vase with flowers, above a plaque of iron without engraving, so the ring has never been used as a seal. French origin round 1800 and in mint condition
The size is big: 24mm probably worn over the glove.
