Lenfant Georges
Link bracelet made of 18k gold, with frosted, rope-like links charcateristic for the work of Georges Lenfant. France, circa 1970. Georges Lenfant was an unbeliveably talented goldsmith who was a workmaster for Cartier and made jewellery for many of the top houses in Paris (Van Cleef & Arpels, Mellerio and many others) and also watches (for Hermes) in partnerhip with Vacheron Constantin. During the 1960’s and 70’s the Lenfant workshop produced many beautiful gold chain bracelets and necklaces which is perhaps what they are best known for today.This bracelet is set with five oval cut lapis lazuli stones. Boivin, Hermes and Gubelin. Set with five oval shaped lapis lazuli stones. Signed with maker’s mark and French hallmarks.
