Miniature gold and enamel lady’s pocket watch depicying a Gallant party by Romilly Paris, circa 1760
The back of this exquisite case features a brilliantly colored enameled scene showing a young woman and man ”Fête Galante” surrounded by cartouches with flower patterns. The front with white enamel dial, gold hands and Roman chapters, a black minute track and 5 minute numerals. The verge fusee movement is centered by a beautiful delicate pierced two-footed balance cock and silver disc regulator. The mechanism is supported by baluster-formed pillars and is signed “ Romilly Paris”. France, circa 1760
