Silver pocket watch from just after 1700, richly decorated in Louis XIV style. On the dial the name of the watchmaker Cartwright. Below that the motto of the Prince of Wales: 'Ich Dien' and below that 'Principis Horlogs'. Also depicted is the coat of arms of the Prince of Wales, a crown with ostrich feathers. Roman numerals with Arabic minute divisions. In the case a repair / shopkeeper´s stamp by T. M. Turner in Chesham. Cartwright Thomas, London.
