Art Deco carved green jade pendant. Platinum, gold, pearl & diamonds. Birds & flowers. The Netherlands, circa 1915.
Art Deco pendant of carved jade with platinum, gold and diamond bale. The jade has a carved bird in the middle on both sides. There are flowers and leaves in the pretty design. The jade measures 3.5 X 4.0 cm. There are tiny mine cut diamonds set in the bale and natural pearls to embellish the platinum chain. A beautiful and one of a kind Art Deco piece in excellent condition. This plaque has been part of a Chinese costume from the 18th or 19th century. Arround the turn of the century it was common to process these jade pieces to precious jewels.
