For 50 years Dekker Antiquairs has been one of the most renowned fine jewellery and watch dealers in Holland. We are located in the heart of the 17th-century canal belt in Amsterdam, just a stone-throw away from the Rijksmuseum. In the past decades we contributed to the development of many private and museum collections. Most recently we provided the Museum of Bags and Purses with an 18th-century steel and gold watch with chatelaine and a gold, diamond and ruby purse (1915-1920).

Rijksmuseum
The Rijksmuseum acquired from us a silver vase made in 1895 by Philippe Wolfers of Wolfers & Frères, and a gold and sapphire medal of honour made in Sri Lanka in 1762. The medal is an important object in the history of the VOC and revealed an unknown episode in the history of this illustrious company.

Clocks and watches in museums
The Museum aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht acquired an important wall clock on console with a musical full calendar and automation, made in Amsterdam around 1755 by Nicolaas Weylandt. To the Clock Museum of Beyer in Zürich we delivered an 18-carat golden watch by Vacheron Constantin with perpetual calendar, moon phases and sunrise and sunset (1917).
