Gold necklace, late Victorian, in Neo Louis XVI style. Beautiful openwork links in 15k gold and set with demantoite and natural pearls. Demantoid is characteristic of this period. A double usage: can also be worn as a tiara!

The name of the gemstone demantoid means 'the diamond-like'. It is a green garnet with an even greater dispersion (fire/ sparkling flashes of light) than diamond. One of the most beautiful and precious gemstones of the garnet group.
