Antique Russian jade photo frame

Description

A photo frame made of Siberian nephrite jade, gold and silver, decorated with four cabochon-cut rubies in the corners and one oval, faceted ruby in the bow, which is set with rose-cut diamonds. Below, an oval opening for a photograph, the edge of which is fully set with eight-cut diamonds. Maker's mark M.P = Mikhail Perkhin (1860–1903).
